Once upon a time, three bulls lived together in a pasture.

Though they ate and lived side by side, they never spoke with one another.

One day, a lion who was very hungry, saw the bulls.

But he knew that he could never attack three bulls simultaneously.

Because together they would over-power him and kill him.

So, the lion approached the bulls separately.

Since one bull never knew what the others were doing, they didn’t realize that the lion was working to separate them.

The lion who was crafty, succeeded in dividing them and attacked them individually.

Thus, he overcame all three of them and satisfied his hunger.

Union is strength but there can be no union without good communication.

In our day to day life, we meet lots of people.

To some we exchange smile, to some we talk and to some we never try to communicate.

So, let’s put an attempt to communicate better within our team.

And make it a great week ahead…
One day,all the disciples went to their master' and said, "Master, Master, we all are going on a pilgrimage.

Master: Why you want to go on a pilgrimage trip?

Disciples: So that we can improve our devotion.

Master: OK. Then do me a favour. Please take this Karela (bitter gourd) along with you and wherever you go and whichever temple you visit, place it in the alter of the Deity, take the blessings and bring it back.

So, not only the disciples but the Karela also went on pilgrimage, temple to temple.

And finally when they came back, the Master said, "cook that Karela and serve it to me."

The disciples cooked it and served it to the master. After having the first bite, the master said,

"Surprising"!!!!!

Disciples: What's so surprising?

Master: Even after the pilgrimage the karela is still bitter.
 How come???'

Disciples: But that's the very nature of the Karela, Master.

Master: That's what I am saying. Unless you change your nature, pilgrimage will not make any difference.

So, you & I, if we do not change ourselves no teacher or guru can make a difference in our lives.

Make it a great week ahead!!!
Dear All,

A nice small story to start the week with...

Just read it..It's awesome ...

A Little boy went to a telephone booth which   was at the cash counter of a store and dialed a number. The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation:

Boy: “Madam, can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?”

Woman: (at the other end of the phone line)  “I already have someone to cut my lawn.”

Boy: “Madam, I will cut your lawn for half the price than the person who cuts your lawn now.”

Woman: “I’m very satisfied with the person who is presently cutting the lawn.”

Boy: (with more perseverance) “Madam, I’ll even sweep the floor and the stairs of your house for free.”

Woman: “No, thank you.”

With a smile on his face, the little boy put the receiver down. The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy.

Store-owner: “Son….I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job.”

Boy: “No thanks.”

Store-owner: “But you were really pleading for one.”

Boy: “No Sir, I was just checking my performance at the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady I was talking
 to!”

This is called  "Self-Appraisal”

Give your best and the world comes to you!
Don't relax or show lazyness.. Whole world is watching you!!

A famous quote said by Lord Krishna in Bhagvat Gita :

"If u don't fight for what u want,
don't cry for what u lost..."

"Nothing depends on luck, everything depends on work because,
even luck has to work..."
The two key drivers of success in life are passion and determination, which undergo many moments of testing. Such moments are the times when you need to face obstacles.

Engineer John Roebling decided that he would build the world’s longest bridge to connect Long Island with New York, and would build in a new way. But, his way was too new. It took fifteen years to convince people.

His dream was driven by passion. His only source of support was his upcoming engineer son, Washington Roebling. The father son team prepared a detailed plan and got the required team on board. A tragic accident at the site occurred, killing the senior Roebling. Given this loss, however junior Roebling was determined to make his father’s vision come true. It was another setback when Washington suffered a brain damage and was confined to bed. There was a call to scrap the project but Washington stood determined and passionate. He depended entirely on his wife, Emily Roebling, to communicate.

He developed a code to make her understand his communication. Again his idea received a lot of criticism. Instructions were interpreted by his wife and relayed to the engineers, and thirteen years later i.e. on 24th May 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge was complete.

The most important message is of passion and determination, and the idea that we must never give up.

…make it a great week ahead !
ime Will Come!!

Kenya is 2 hrs ahead of Nigeria, but it does not mean that Nigeria is slow, or that Kenya is fast. Both countries are  working based on their own "Time Zone".

Some one is still single.. Someone got married and 'waited' 10 yrs before having a child, there is another who had a baby within a year of marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment immediately!

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their "Time Zone"

People can have things worked out only according to their pace. Work in your “Time Zone”.

Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you.
May be some might "seem" behind you.

Don't envy them or mock them, it's their "Time Zone".
You are in yours!

Hold on, be strong, and stay true to yourself. All things shall work together for your good. You’re not late … You are not early ... you’re very much On time! :) :)

And make it a great week ahead!! (as you eagerly await to receive your bands - All the Best!!!)
This is a true story about a woman from India who lived in the Middle Ages and had a pet snake, python, which she loved so much. The snake was 4 meters long and looked healthy. However, one day her unusual pet just stopped eating.

This lack of appetite in the snake continued over a few weeks. The desperate woman tried everything she could and offered anything that a snake would like to strangle and eat. Nothing worked, and finally the woman took her loving pet to the veterinarian as a last resort.

The vet listened to the woman carefully and asked, “Does your snake sleep with you at night, wrap around you closely and spread out throughout its length?”

The woman was surprised and with a lot of hope she said, “Yes! Yes! It does it every day and it makes me so sad because I see something asking of me, and I cannot help it feel better.”

Then, the vet said something shocking and most unexpected. “Madam, your pet is not sick; it is just preparing to eat you.” Yes, the python wasn’t sick but it has been preparing to eat her instead!

“Every time, it is creeping and “hugging” you, wrapping around your body, it is checking size to weigh how a great meal you are and how it must be prepared before the attack. And yes, it does not eat, in order to have enough space to digest you more easily,” the vet said.

This story comes with a moral – Even people close to you, whom you are very affectionate with, can, have mean intentions. You need to identify the snake around you and their true intent. Hugs and kisses are not always honest.

Once, a small boy was sitting on a seashore. He was very much depressed as some people didn't like him because of his black complexion.

He saw a gas balloon - seller selling different colours of balloons on the beach.

Suddenly, he noticed the gas balloon - seller released a white gas balloon in the sky which rose very high in the sky.

After a while, the gas balloon - seller released a red balloon in the sky that too rose high in the sky.

He was doing this activity to attract the customers.

The boy approached the gas balloon - seller and asked,

"I noticed, you released a white balloon which rose very high in the sky and then you released a red balloon which also rose high in the sky.

So, if you release a black balloon, will it reach the same height?

The gas balloon - seller replied, "Colour does not matter, it is the content that determine how far the balloon will go".

So, never get depressed with the negative expressions of people and keep soaring high like a gas balloon.

In a village, there were 3 farmers who were neighbours and they solely depended on the cultivation in their farms, which were located adjacent to each other.

One of the farmers, whose land was in the middle, was always found upset.

Even his family members couldn't understand the actual reason behind his depression as their basic and other needs were always fulfilled.
One day, his fellow farmer whose land was on his left side, advised the depressed farmer to contact a person who is known for his great knowledge and wisdom.

So, the depressed farmer went to that person and tried to share his problem but couldn't provide a clear picture of his difficulty to him.
Having heard him, the wise man told the farmer that he would be visiting his farm for the next couple of days and then he would share the solution.
The wise man visited his farm and after thoroughly observing the farmer for two days, he grasped the real problem and told him that he should stop looking at his neighbour farmer and his superior farm situated just on his right side as it was making him feel inferior.

He further told him that the man on his left side who sent the depressed farmer to him for help, is living a peaceful life despite having the smallest land and his condition is more miserable than him. After explaining these things, he departed.
The farmer then went to his poor neighbour and asked him how he manages to live a peaceful life inspite of owning the smallest land.

The poor farmer smiled and stated that there were few men in the village who don't even have a piece of land to cultivate and they work on other's land with a small wage.

So, we should never give up our efforts to achieve our aims but at the same time, we should also be thankful for what we have.”

Make it a great week ahead !
Vanilla Ice Cream that puzzled General motors!!!!
An Interesting Story
Never underestimate your Customers' Complaint, no matter how funny it might seem!
This is a real story that happened between the customer of General Motors and its Customer-Care Executive. Pls read on.....
A complaint was received by the Pontiac Division of General Motors:
'This is the second time I have written to you, and I don't blame you for not answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after dinner each night, but the kind of ice cream varies so, every night, after we've eaten, the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive down to the store to get it. It's also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since then my trips to the store have created a problem.....
You see, every time I buy a vanilla ice-cream, when I start back from the store my car won't start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine. I want you to know I'm serious about this question, no matter how silly it sounds "What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get any other kind?" The Pontiac President was understandably skeptical about the letter, but sent an Engineer to check it out anyway.
The latter was surprised to be greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine neighborhood. He had arranged to meet the man just after dinner time, so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came back to the car, it wouldn't start.
The Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The car started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to start.
Now the engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this man's car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem. And toward this end he began to take notes: He jotted down all sorts of data: time of day, type of gas uses, time to drive back and forth etc.
In a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy vanilla than any other flavor. Why? The answer was in the layout of the store. Vanilla, being the most popular flavor, was in a separate case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other flavors were kept in the back of the store at a different counter where it took considerably longer to check out the flavor.
Now, the question for the Engineer was why the car wouldn't start when it took less time. Eureka - Time was now the problem - not the vanilla ice cream!!!! The engineer quickly came up with the answer: "vapor lock".
It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapor lock to dissipate.
Even crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution, with cool thinking.
What really matters is your attitude and your perception.

Once, an unhappy young man came to an old master and told he leads a very ill-fated life and asked for a solution.
The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. “How does it taste?” - the Master asked.
The apprentice spat the solution and said, “Terrible!!!”
The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.
The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old Master said, “Now drink the water from the lake.”
As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the Master asked, “How does it taste?” “Good!” – remarked the apprentice.
“Did the water taste salty?” – asked the Master. The young man replied, “No”.
The Master sat beside this troubled young man and said, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same but the amount we taste the ‘pain’ depends on the container we put it into. So, when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things. Stop being a glass, become a lake.”

One day, a man residing in a small village went out among the people, holding a rotten apple in his hand.

He raised a question to the people who had gathered around him, “Can anyone tell me what I can do to regenerate this apple, to make it new?”

The people shook their heads in negation. What could one do with a rotten apple? It had to be thrown away – and that was it.

Receiving no answers to his query, the man cut the apple into four pieces.

On collecting the seeds of the apple, he said to them :

“The way to make this apple new, to create new apples out of this rotten apple is to sow the seeds. Out of these seeds will bloom forth new apples.”

The people marveled at the man’s vision and wisdom. How could they have forgotten that even the rotten apple contained within itself the source of new life – its seeds!

Encourage children to read about the lives of great ones and to keep good company.

Equally important, is to instill in them the lesson then when they face something or someone corrupt, it does not mean that all is lost.

When humanity becomes rotten, remember that the seeds of humanity are its children.

Invest in them, for they can regenerate humanity…

Once, a school was engulfed in flames. A little unconscious boy was dragged out of the flaming building. He had major burns over the lower half of his body and was taken to a nearby hospital.
From his bed the dreadfully burned, semi-conscious little boy faintly heard the doctor talking to his mother. The doctor told his mother that her son would surely die – which was for the best, really – for the terrible fire had devastated the lower half of his body.
But the brave boy didn’t want to die. He made up his mind that he would survive. Somehow, to the amazement of the physician, he did survive. When the mortal danger was past, he again heard the doctor and his mother speaking quietly. The mother was told that since the fire had destroyed so much flesh in the lower part of his body, it would almost be better if he had died, since he was doomed to be a lifetime cripple with no use at all of his lower limbs.
Now, the brave boy made up his mind that he would walk. Every day his mother would massage his little legs, but there was no feeling, no control, nothing. Yet his determination that he would walk was as strong as ever. Through his daily massages, his strong persistence and his resolute determination, he did develop the ability to stand up, then to walk haltingly, then to walk by himself – and then – to run.
Later, this young man who was not expected to survive, who would surely never walk, who could never hope to run – this determined young man, Dr. Glenn Cunningham, ran the world’s fastest mile.
We have witnessed a number of great aspirants whose life history teaches us a lot. If you believe in yourself and have dedication, pride and a positive attitude, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.

Baby giraffes never go to school but they learn a very important lesson, early in life.
The birth of a baby giraffe is quite an earth-shaking event.
The baby falls from its mother's womb, some six feet above the ground.
It shrivels up and lies still, too weak to move.
The mother giraffe lovingly lowers her neck to kiss the baby giraffe and then something unbelievable happens.
She lifts her long leg and kicks the baby giraffe, sending it flying up in the air and tumbling down on the ground.
As the baby lies curled up, the mother kicks the baby again and again until the baby giraffe, still trembling and tired, pushes its limbs and for the first time learns to stand on its feet.
Happy to see the baby standing on its own feet, the mother giraffe comes over and gives it yet another kick.
The baby giraffe falls one more time, but now quickly recovers and stands up.
Mother giraffe is delighted.
She knows that her baby has learnt an important lesson - Never mind how hard you fall, always remember to pick yourself up and get back on your feet.
Why does the mother giraffe do this?
She knows that lions and leopards love giraffe meat.
So, unless the baby giraffe quickly learns to stand and run, it will have no chance of survival.
Most of us though are not quite as lucky as baby giraffes.
No one teaches us to stand up every time we fall.
When we fail, when we are down, we just give up.
No one kicks us out of our comfort zone to remind us that to survive and succeed, we need to learn to get back on our feet.
So, never give up and always have the courage to get back, dust everything off and start again to make it a great week ahead...
A German once visited a temple under
construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God...

Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby...
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you
need two statues of the same idol?"
 "No," said the sculptor
without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage..."

The gentleman
examined the idol and found no apparent damage...

"Where is the damage?" he asked.
"There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still
 busy with his work....

"Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be
 installed on a
 pillar twenty feet high...

"If the idol is that far who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?"
 the gentleman asked.

The sculptor stopped work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said,

"I will know it..."

Once, there was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn.
Every year he won award for the best grown corn.
Once, a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how the farmer grew the corn.
The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbours.
The reporter asked, “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbours when they are also in competition with you, each year?”
The farmer said, “Why Sir, didn’t you know?
The wind picks up pollen grains from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field.
If my neighbours grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn.
If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbours grow good corn.”
So is with our lives.
Those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, as the welfare of each person, is bound with the welfare of all.

Once upon a time, there was a king who was looking for a helping hand to serve his nation better and hence he thought of an innovative idea.
He kept a big water vessel in the mid of a field, wisely made a leakage under the water vessel and made a passage for the leaking water, so that nobody can understand  that there is a leakage under the water vessel. He then announced, if anybody can fill the water vessel within the stipulated time then he would be the king’s helping hand to serve the nation.
Everyone took part in this event but were unable to fill the water vessel.
They were very much concerned as they were working hard but couldn’t succeed.
There was a young boy who was watching the event very carefully and thought the outer side of the water vessel seems to be good without any leakage so, why the water vessel is still unfilled.
He come to a conclusion that the problem lies under the water vessel.
Immediately, he approached the king and told him that he can fill the water vessel but before that he want to check the water vessel properly.
The king allowed him to do so and he immediately discovered the leakage, patched that area and filled the water vessel within a very short span of time.
The king smiled and appointed him as a helping hand to serve the nation .
We too face the similar situation, whenever we get into any problem.
Most of the times, we want to derive a solution by just watching the outer side of the problem and we never think about the root cause of the problem.
Make it a great festive week ahead…
Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!!!
One day, a professor entered the classroom and asked his students to prepare for a surprise test.

They waited anxiously at their desks for the test to begin.

The professor handed out the question paper with the text facing down as usual, to all students and then asked them to turn the page and begin.

To everyone's surprise, there were no questions, just a black dot in the center of the page.

The professor said, "I want you to write what you see there."

The students were confused but got started on the inexplicable task.

At the end of the class, the professor took all the answer papers and started reading each one of them aloud in front of all the students.

All of them with no exceptions, described the black dot, trying to explain its position in the middle of the sheet, etc.

Then, profession explained, "I am not going to grade on you this, I just wanted to give you something to think about. No one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focused on the black dot - and the same happens in our lives. We have a white paper to observe and enjoy but we always focus on the dark spots. Our life is a gift given to us by God with love and care and we always have reasons to celebrate - nature renewing itself every day, our friends around us, the job that provides our livelihood, the miracles we see every day…  However, we insist on focusing only on the dark spots - the health issues that bother us, the lack of money, the complicated relationship with a family member, the disappointment with a friend, and so on.

The dark spots are very small compared to everything we have in our lives but they are the ones that pollute our minds.

So this New Year, take your eyes away from the black spots in your life. Enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you and stay positive.

Make it a great week ahead and have a blast…
When you see geese flying along in “V” formation, you might wonder why they fly that way.

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following.

By flying in “V” formation, the whole flock adds at least 71 percent greater flying range than, if each bird flew on its own.

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go alone — and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power.

Deriving insight, we too should stay in formation with people who are headed the same way we are.

When the head goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point.

It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs.

Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

When a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshot, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection.

They stay with the goose until it is able to fly or until it dies, and only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation.

There is an ancient story about two monks walking along a river in silence.

They have a vow of chastity - which includes many vows, but one of these vows of chastity requires that they never speak to or touch a woman.

As they walk up the river, they notice a woman who is desperately trying to get across the river because her child is on the other side. It is a fast-flowing river and she is frightened to cross the river by herself. One monk walks over to her and says, "May I help you?" He picks her up and with the strength that he carries in his legs that walk mountains and valleys and streams as part of his work, he carries her across the river, sets her down, returns to join his fellow and they begin again to walk in silence.

About two hours later the second monk says to the first monk, "I can't believe you carried that woman across the river. I can't believe you touched her. I can't believe that you broke your vows."

The other monk simply looks at his companion and says, "I put her down two hours ago. You are still carrying her."

This story highlights that it is very important and necessary for us to put some things to rest.

When we ignore some unimportant things, we have our hands, heart and mind available for the present moment.

Student Learns of a Greed

A student asked his teacher, “What is Greed?” The teacher said, “In order to answer your question, go through the chocolate factory next to our school and pick the one chocolate you like the most. But there is a rule. As you pass through the factory, you can not turn back. You must pick the chocolate as you go forward only.”
The student went to the chocolate factory. As he walked through, He saw the one chocolate wrapped nicely, he instantly liked it but he wondered that he may find much bigger one further. So, He walked further, then he saw another chocolate. But again, he thought the same. When he started to reach near the end of the factory, he couldn’t see any chocolates as big as the one he didn’t pick earlier and started to regret his decision of letting it go.
Finally, he gave up. He went back to the teacher with an empty hand and gave an explanation of what he did.
The teacher told him, “You did like the one chocolate very much but still you kept looking for a bigger one. And later you realized that what you let go off was the best chocolate you could find there. That my dear is called Greed.”

Moral: We let go of many good things in our life because of our greed of having even better things. Our Human Nature is such that we always want better and better. But in the search of better, we let go of many good things which could have given us similar satisfaction and made us happy. Learn make your choice wisely.

An American Computer Giant decided to have some parts manufactured in Japan as a trial.
In the specifications, they set standard that they will accept only three defective pieces per 10,000 pieces.
When the delivery came to the American Computer Giant, there was a letter accompanying it.

"We, Japanese people, had a hard time understanding North American business practices.
But the three defective parts per 10,000 pieces have been separately manufactured and have been included in the consignment in a separate package mentioned -- 'Defective pieces as required; not for use."
Hope this meets your requirement.

Two men went fishing, one was an experienced fisherman, the other was not.
Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep the fish fresh.
Every time the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.
The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing the man waste good fishes, he asked, “Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?”.
The inexperienced fisherman replied, “I only have a small frying pan.”
Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throw back the big plans, big dreams, big jobs, big opportunities because we don’t believe that we deserve them or aren’t ready to accept them.
Whether it is a problem or a possibility we are never given anything bigger than we cannot handle. We can confidently walk into anything that comes our way.
So prepare yourself for bigger things in life and… make it a great week ahead!

If beauty and fame bring ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriages.
Live simply, walk humbly and love genuinely… and make it a great week ahead !
In the North East of India, lies the largest inland island in the world, Majuli Island, which is home to over 150,000 people.
Mainly due to significant deforestation, the annual monsoon floods have eroded away much of the island, causing massive damage to the area.
Starting as a 16 year old in 1979, Jadav Payeng, set about reversing this issue and started to plant seeds along the sandy, barren coast of the island.
Over the next 30 years, Jadav planted 1,360 acres of trees, creating a marvelous forest.
What caused him to take such massive action?
Jadav said, “No one else was interested, no one else would help.”
But, Jadav saw a problem, started small, took consistent action over a long period of time and has created a remarkable ecosystem all by himself.
Since creating this unique forest, a host of wonderful and endangered species have returned to the area, including tigers, rhinos, deer, vultures, reptiles and a herd of over 100 elephants.
The one person who could make a difference was Jadhav Preyang.
People who saw a problem. People who used their skills, experience and passion to deliver a solution. People who made a commitment to making the world a better place.
For more information about Jadav’s extraordinary story, check out 'The Forest Man” an award-winning documentary.
People like Jadav aren’t here just to make us feel good about the world, but to inspire us to do our part in making a positive difference in the world.
So, how are you going to  make a difference and  make it a great week ahead…
Nice story of Aadi Shankaracharya teaching his students how to empty and free their mind:५

"Adi Sankara was walking through the market place with his disciples.

They saw a man dragging a cow by a rope.
Sankara told the man to wait and asked his disciples to surround them.

“I am going to teach you something” and continued...
“Tell me who is bound to whom? Is the cow bound to this man or the man is bound to the cow?"

The disciples said without hesitation “Of course the cow is bound to the man!. The man is the master. He is holding the rope. The cow has to follow him wherever he goes. The man is the master and the cow is the slave.”

“Now watch this”, said Sankara and took a pair of scissors from his bag and cut the rope.

The cow ran away from the master and the man ran after his cow. “Look, what is happening”, said Sankara
“Do you see who the Master is?

The cow is not at all interested in this man. The cow in fact, is trying to escape from this man.

This is the case with our MIND.

Like the cow, all the non-sense that we carry inside is not interested in us. WE ARE INTERESTED IN IT, we are keeping it together somehow or the other. We are going crazy trying to keep it all together under our control.

The moment we lose interest in all the garbage filled in our head, and the moment we understand the futility of it, it will start to disappear.

Like the cow, it will escape and disappear.”

We can allow disappearing of all the unwanted things from our mind and feel relaxed and make it a great week ahead !!!
In the jungle which animal is the biggest ........

I heard you say, Elephant.

In the jungle which animal is the tallest ........

I heard you say, Giraffe.

In the jungle which animal is the wisest ........

I heard you say, Fox.

In the jungle which animal is the fastest ........

I heard you say, Cheetahs.

Among all these wonderful qualities mentioned, where is the Lion in the picture.?

Yet, you say the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.!!

Why??

Because...

The Lion is courageous,

The Lion is very bold,

The Lion is always ready to face any challenges, any barrier that crosses his path, no matter how big/bad they are.!!

The Lion walks with confidence. The Lion dares anything and is never afraid. The Lion believes he is unstoppable. The Lion is a risk taker. The Lion believes any animal is food for him. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a try and never lets it slip from his hands. The Lion has charisma.!!

So...

- What is it that we get to learn from the Lion ??

• You don't need to be the fastest.

• You don't need to be the wisest.

• You don't need to be the smartest.

• You don't need to be the most brilliant.

• You don't need to be generally accepted to achieve your dreams and be great in life.!!

• All you need is courage

• All you need is boldness

• All you need is the will to try.

• All you need is the faith to believe it is possible.

• All you need is to believe in yourself, that you can do it.!!

It's TIME to bring out the Lion in you..  and make it a great week ahead...

Am I Wrong ... ?

Am I wrong...
For thinking out the box from where I stay?
Am I wrong...
For saying that I choose another way?

I ain't trying to do what everybody else doing
Just 'cause everybody doing what they all do
If one thing I know, I'll fall but I'll grow
I'm walking down this road of mine, this road that I call home...

So am I wrong...
For thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong...
For trying to reach the things that I can't see?
But that's just how I feel, that's just how I feel
Trying to reach the things that I can't see...

Am I tripping... for having a vision?
My prediction... I'ma be on the top of the world
Walk your walk and don't look back,
Always do what you decide

Don't let them control your life, that's just how I feel
Fight for yours and don't let go,
Don't let them compare you, No...
Don't worry, you're not alone, that's just how we feel...

That...

That which doesn't spread...

Isn't joy...

That which doesn't fill...

Isn't gift...

That which doesn't need..

Isn't life..

That which doesn't mean..

Isn't word..

That which doesn't know..

Good Evening all!!!! Happy Reading!!!!

The proud exclamation mark!

Hi! I am the proud exclamation mark. Unlike my friend the humble full stop, who you must have met a while ago, I am not about endings. I am happy to inform you that as the proud exclamation mark, I am all about new beginnings, new adventures, new journeys and new challenges!

Look at me! I stand tall with me head held high. I am slim, have swag and am ready to face every exciting moment ahead of me. I am all about celebrations, emotions, joys as well as sorrows. I accompany the happy as well as the sad or if you prefer the angry and the mad! I add that extra zing to otherwise boring moments.

Want to wish someone a happy new year? Well, after you have uttered the greeting, you need me to bring in the hopefulness in your voice which would normally accompany this greeting. Thus, making your new year happier!!!

You don’t believe me huh? Well try saying: “Happy New Year”. Now say it keeping in mind that I accompany the greeting: “Happy New Year! See what I mean? Suddenly, the greeting sounds so much warmer, so much heartfelt and so much more earnest!

I also happen to be very well loved! So much so that sometimes, people in their exuberance to greet one another put several of me after their greeting… as in Happy New Year!!! Somehow, although, one of me is enough to convey the joy of the moment, every so often, we seek comfort in numbers and bring out as many of me out of the bag as possible! Just makes the greeting sound louder and merrier doesn’t it? Try it: Happy New Year!!!

So as this new year unfolds itself with all its mysteries, challenges and secrets, embrace me and allow me to walk you through the intricacies of everything new and beautiful before you. I will be with you through thick and thin, through achievements and failures, in love as well as when lost, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health…until death do us part!

In this new year, let’s walk the walk together and know that win or lose, sink or swim, one thing is certain I will always be by your side; for, hand in hand, side by side, we both stand together!

Happy New Year everyone!! Here is wishing 2017 brings all that is best with it for all of you!!

Heart touching inspirational story

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow.

He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.

“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.

“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

“Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

“Come and play with me” the tree said.

“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”

“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

“Come and play with me!” the tree said.

“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.

“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied.

“No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.

“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.

“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

Moral :
Treat your parents with loving care…. you will know their value, when you see their empty chair…We never know the love of our parents for us; till we have become parents .

Where has the happiness gone?

It is funny how we care most about the things which are momentary. We are more concerned about our temporary role in present and miss to see the goals beyond our busy lives. Today we lack a feeling if genuine and persistent happiness.

It is astonishing how easily we satisfy the apitite of our physical self where the hunger for our mind and soul goes ignored. A key for happiness is health and we forget the complete health of self comes from the balance of body, mind and soul. The mind is sparsely supplied with good thoughts to keep it healthy where the sources can be great books, inspirational speech or creative discussions. One somehow comes accross these sources in our daily life but our soul goes starved.

It is not the thinking but the doing that can satisfy our soul. When we serve the purpose greater than the self is then we feed it.

Today we are highly educated only to earn and satisfy our customers. We fail to see how capable we are to nurture more buds in this world with the knowledge we have to ultimately make this world a better place to live. We have got innovative minds only bent in the direction of earning and never to see what priceless satisfaction we get when used for benifits of the needy.

Are we really so busy that we dont have even a single minute to spare for our own soul. There is reason we are struggling with temporary happiness because the balance of the self is not there now a days. I believe it is still not late and if we work we can find a way for a long lasting happiness.

Money = Happiness?

Couple of days back after competition of my office hours, I was reading something, which drag me to thinking posture. It was something related to happiness which all of us always used to pursue. Generally wealth and happiness are said to be proportionately related, in other words higher wealth means more happiness. But is it the absolute fact. Let’s have a glance on the mentioned subject line to analyse whether MH

Rankings of Gross Domestic Product (GDP):
GDP is the final value of the goods and services produced within the geographic boundaries of a country during a specified period of time, normally a year. GDP growth rate is an important indicator of the economic performance of a country. U.S, china, Japan, Germany, UK, France, and Russia are the countries having highest GDP.

Gross National Happiness (GNH):
In July 2011, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution inviting member countries to measure the happiness of their people and to use this to help guide their public policies. In April, 2012, this was followed by the first UN High Level Meeting on "Happiness and Well-Being: Defining a New Economic Paradigm," which was chaired by Prime Minister Jigme Thinley of Bhutan, the first and so far only country to have officially adopted gross national happiness instead of gross domestic product as their main development indicator.

The World Happiness Report 2016 Update, which ranks 156 countries by their happiness levels, was released in Rome in advance of UN World Happiness Day, March 20th. Leading experts across fields – economics, psychology, survey analysis, national statistics, health, public policy and more – describe how measurements of well-being can be used effectively to assess the progress of nations. The reports review the state of happiness in the world today and show how the new science of happiness explains personal and national variations in happiness. They reflect a new worldwide demand for more attention to happiness as a criteria for government policy.

Ranking of Happiness Index:
Denmark took the top spot as the ‘happiest country’ in the world, displacing Switzerland, according to The World Happiness Report 2016, published by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative of the United Nations. Switzerland was ranked second on the list, followed by Iceland (3), Norway (4) and Finland (5).

The report said that India was among the group of 10 countries witnessing the biggest happiness declines, along with Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen and Botswana. India was ranked 118th in the list. India comes even below Japan (53) Somalia (76), China (83), Pakistan (92), Iran (105), Palestinian Territories (108) and Bangladesh (110). The U.S. is ranked 13th, coming behind Australia (9) and Israel (11).

“People are happier living in societies where there is less inequality of happiness. They also find that happiness inequality has increased significantly (comparing 2012-2015 to 2005-2011) in most countries, in almost all global regions, and for the population of the world as a whole,” the report said.

Money = Happiness
In today’s world starting from children to old age people perhaps everyone is suffering from worries of past and anxieties about future. Happiness has perhaps become a largest industry on the globe. Civilisation has begun the never ending race of materialism.

But, the million dollar question for today’s world is why there is vast difference between economic development of countries and happiness of people living in same highly developed countries. As per the facts and figures mentioned above for GNH and GDP scenario seems paradoxical. Depression, anxiety and suicide ratio figures of the globe are also dreadful.

Questions are too simple yet seems like dual edged sword. Do we have ever done introspection for them?

Can our desires be ever end?

Can we ever satisfy with one thing all the time?

Can the luxuries and lavish life style provide us guarantee for happiness?

Can the human relations and Mother Nature be nurture with just money?

Can the mankind simply move further by mere economic parameters?

Can we say that happiness is heterogeneous and complex phenomenon?

Can we say that, it’s a time to change our welfare models?

Can infinite peace, infinite bliss and infinite love be purchased with money?

Can we justify the above equation M = H, where M stands for Money and H stands for Happiness?

These are my views about the topic. Would you make an attempt to elaborate your comment beyond a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ with your own point of view or knowledge about happiness. Does money is equals to happiness?
